Soundproofing and Noise Control

Silence do good.
With a good soundproofing and noise control we can build an ideal acoustical environment base for any of your acoustical function of the room, from Home Theater, Music Studio, Theater, Auditorium, Concert Hall, Meeting Room, School, House of Worship or even bedroom, you name it. Inadequate acoustical isolation may lead to elevated sound levels within the space which reduces privacy, comfort level and concentration ability; severely limits speech intelligibility and has implications for noise health effects.
So, Silent Room is a Good Room
our goals in the process

Our Design Phases

  • 01
    Design Review
Analyzing conceptual drawings from the main designers for pre-calculation and measurments
  • 02
    Conceptual & Schematic Design Phase
Research and determine the owners criteria for the project. Using the criteria to establish conceptual design and explore design options. Presents it and narrow down to one preferred concept.
  • 03
    Design Development Phase
Refine and develop design so most major design decisions have been made. Includes Noise Propagation, Sound Transmission for both Airborne and structural-borne calculations and simulations
  • 04
    Construction Document Phase
Finalizing designs. Preparing technical documents for construction.
  • 05
    Construction Bidding Phase (Optional)
Tender opening to get pricing from few recommended contractor and choose the best contractor for the project.
  • 06
    Construction Administration Phase (Optional)
Observe Construction process for consistency with construction documents. Answer contractor questions and resolve design details, and handle changes.

What We Do In The Process

01. Design Review

First of all, we will collect every available data and information from the designers. We will create assumptions about the function of the room. Then we will make initial recommendations about test and measurements that needed to be done.

02. Conceptual & Schematic Design

During this phase of the process, we will take the information we’ve gathered and creating Studies of acoustical goals, and room analysis. We will define acoustic parameters including Noise Criteria, Transmission Loss, Speech Intelligibility Assessments, Sound Pressure Level distribution, Background Noise Levels and many other parameters, explore the room form and shape, and plan acoustical arrangement.

If needed, in this phase we also have the opportunity to make room assessment and measurement to compliment data collection for the design. You will also have the opportunity to request any modifications you’d like us to make to your preferred design. Once you have selected a design option that best suits your needs, we will begin the process of refining the design during the Design Development phase.

03. Design Devlopment

Once the basics are settled, at this stage we will continue from the approved schematic design. We will work with the architect, interior designer, and any other consultant to refine the design. We will carefully determine the structural decoupling system, choose the best materials to block noises, calculate and make simulations. Assure it meets all the defined parameters and responded beautifully in the room.

04. Construction Documents

By now, we will have settled on a final design and will begin preparing drawings, notes, and technical specifications necessary for bidding, construction, and permit application. This is the phase that many people think of when they picture the work of an engineers – the creation of blueprints.

Contractors will use these detailed drawings and specifications to prepare for the next phase in the building process.

At the end of the phase the documents from the schematic design and design development phases should be updated in full detail. Additional documents will also be created and can vary depending on the scope of the project. A completed construction document set is highly technical and extensive and may include:

  1. Layout Plans: Drawings showing the Layout of the Soundproofing System.
  2. Key Details and Sections: Large scale drawings of every type of specific Soundproofing and Noise Control elements within the project.
  3. Simulation and Noise Calculation Report: Documents of calculation and simulation of the Sound Transmission for both airborne and structural-borne, shown that the calculation meets the project criteria and all defined parameter.
05. Bidding Phase

Having an Acoustic Consultants on your side during the bidding phase of home construction is of great advantage to you. We can aid you in developing a list of qualified contractors for your bid list and submitting bid packages to bidders. But we can also review submitted bids, provide analysis, and help you compare the cost figures that you receive from your bidders.

This phase will ensure the contractors you are considering for your construction project are reading the blueprints correctly and are providing an accurate bid for your project.

06. Construction Administrations

Finally, once you have selected a contractor and construction is under way, we move into the sixth phase of the building process – construction administration. During this phase, we will administer the construction process to assure conformance with design intent, visit the site during construction, and address any field conditions as they arise.
